Position Overview
As a Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation, efficient service, and compliance with health and safety standards. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced culinary professional looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant, tropical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high-performing and collaborative team.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage all kitchen activities, including inventory, food preparation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Quality Control: Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control food costs, labor, and waste to meet financial goals.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce compliance with local health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the local flavors of the Virgin Islands.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management and food safety practices.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a focus on Caribbean or coastal cuisine (preferred).
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
