December was one of the busiest months at Door of Hope, as many newborns were entrusted to the home’s care. For some mothers, the holiday season brought overwhelming challenges, leading them to make the heartbreaking decision to give their babies a chance at a better future. During the month, five new babies were welcomed into the Door of Hope family, with several arriving through the Baby Saver Box. These little ones were given the gift of safety, love, and a fresh start – a chance they may not have had otherwise.
At Door of Hope, the holidays were about more than just festivities – it was an opportunity to teach the children about the true meaning of community. Adding to the festive spirit, Door of Hope’s COO David Allen and his family visited one of the homes, bringing cheer with baking goodies and cookie decorating. For many of the children, it was their first time experiencing the joy of holiday treats – moments filled with laughter, sticky hands, and warm memories.
December was filled with special milestones as the little ones continued to grow and develop:
These seemingly small moments were significant milestones in their development, showcasing the love and attention the children receive every day.
Caring for 60 children 24/7 is no small feat. The dedicated Aunties at Door of Hope gave up their own holiday celebrations to ensure that these little ones were surrounded by love, comfort, and joy. Their unwavering commitment and selflessness made the season extra special for every child in their care. Thank you.
As we move forward into the new year, we remain deeply grateful for the incredible support from our Talent Partners who’s support helped bring love, care, and security to these vulnerable children, and we look forward to another year of changing lives together. Because of them, these children have a brighter future filled with hope and opportunity. Let’s continue changing lives – one child at a time.
With heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all.
