#GAPGivesBack: Changing Lives at Door Of Hope

At GAP Talent, we’re deeply committed to making a difference in our local communities, and with the support of our Talent Partners, we’re doing just that! Through our #GAPGivesBack initiative, we’re proud to support several initiatives including “Adopt-A-Crib” at the Door Of Hope Children’s Mission in Johannesburg, where we sponsor the care of abandoned children on behalf of our Talent Partners.

Here’s an update from Door Of Hope for the month of July.

July Highlights from Door Of Hope:

• A magical snowfall in Johannesburg South brought joy and wonder to our little ones. For many, it was their first snow experience!
• A heartwarming birthday celebration for a dear friend suffering from a long term chronic illness, reminded us of the power of community and love.
• Baby Girl A left us for her forever home.

Although wonderful that Baby Girl A was adopted in early July, it is always painful for those left behind. Experiencing snow for the first time and being involved in birthday celebrations were much needed distractions for Baby Girl TT and Baby Girl TM, who had been struggling following Baby Girl A’s departure.

Baby Boy B is a very special little child. His disabilities never deter him, and he loves being held in the Aunties’ arms; gazing into their eyes whilst going through his therapy exercises.

Thank you to our Talent Partners for partnering us in support of the Door Of Hope, and in so doing, shaping brighter futures for these children who once had none.
